James' Day 8 - Song Without Words
Today's piece is a song without words for a soloist and accompanist, inspired (rhythmically) by sections of the surrealist poem 'My Siren' by Robert Desnos.
The music is relatively simple, with an improvised aspect to parts of the accompaniment, with a harmonic underpinning which is constantly mobile. Some days, that's all a piece needs.
