James Day 7: Improvised Meditation

My first wholly text-based piece of the project today, 'Improvised Meditation'. This work is a guidebook outlining the framework and structure of a group improvisation. The text is intended to encourage the performer to explore both sound and the transformation of sound into line, as well as their own relationship with other performers and the stage.

In form, it takes some inspiration to the fantastic Pauline Oliveros; in tone, it  is inspired a little by Neil Gaiman's beautiful poem 'Instructions'.
